About the experience
There is a version of the Shift conference experience that ends when the last session does. And then there's this version. On the evening of September 14th - Day 1 of Infobip Shift - a private boat departs from Zadar city centre at 18:45. The next two hours are yours: wine, the Zadar Channel, Dalmatian food, music, conversation, and the sunset that Alfred Hitchcock once described as the most beautiful in the world. Seen from the water, not from the seafront promenade. THE WINE Every Shift attendee on board receives 3 glasses of wine included in the ticket - selected from authentic, independent winemakers of the Zadar region. These are not supermarket labels. They are wines from the Dalmatian hinterland and island producers who grow indigenous varieties in soil shaped by the Adriatic climate. The kind of wines you won't find easily outside this region. (If you decide to, you can buy more glasses at the spot.) THE FOOD Alongside the wine: prosciutto, local cheese, grissini, and dried fruit. Classic Dalmatian snacking done properly. Light enough to leave room for the afterparty, substantial enough to call it dinner if the conversation runs long. THE SETTING The Zadar Channel runs between the city and the island of Ugljan. The boat moves slowly. The light changes. Somewhere between 19:30 and 20:00, the sun drops toward the horizon and the sky does what it does every evening in Zadar; and has been doing since long before Hitchcock noticed. Hundreds of tourists photograph it from the Riva every single day. On this evening, you're watching it from a boat with a glass of local wine. There is a meaningful difference.
