Our story

Viticulture and winemaking, vines and wine, field work and cellar work. These are indispensable parts of our family tradition - the proud past and future of our Bažon Wines. Passion, love and hard work - these are the values passed to us by our ancestors to whom we pay tribute to through our 12 wine labels. First of all to our grandfather Liberato, whose name lives on through special wines - Libero Bianco, Rosso, Spumante and Rubino. Our pride are also monosort wines: awarded Merlot and Malvasia, Muscat, Chardonnay, Teran and rosé (Merlot and Teran). We also produce fruit liqueurs, brandy and olive oil. You can try all these authentic products in our family tasting room where you will pair them with homemade prosciutto, cheese, bread, sardines, cod or cakes, guided by our oenologist and sommelier. In addition, you can visit our vineyards and cellars, and learn a lot about the stages of wine production, technologies and techniques we use and the specifics of our varieties and terroir.

Our unique location

Our home is Istria, and we are located in the village of Marcani near Gračišće, a picturesque medieval town known for its natural beauties, gastronomy and wine. Our vineyards are located at 460 meters above sea level, making them among the highest vineyards in Istria, and this is an attribute that affects the positive properties of our grapes and our wines.
