Our story
ČERVAR extra virgin olive oils are our family brand that proudly represents Istria and Istrian olive growing to the whole world, from our locality of Novigrad. The environment and terrain of Istria and Novigrad greatly help to achieve significant olive achievements of our family, the basis of which is the introduction of modern olive standards. And it all started back in 1952, when our ancestors began to take olive growing more seriously. Thus, everything we do today with love is a continuation of tradition and is dedicated to them. And what we do is produce great olive oils: San Servolo, Bianchera, Coratina and Žižolera oils that are recognized on the market as healthy, stable and of high quality. Proof of this is the gold medal for our spicy and distinctive monosortic oil Červar Coratina, no less and no more than at the New York International Olive Oil Competition. Our unique location
Novigrad is one of the Istrian pearls, a town known for its tourism but with a strong tradition of gastronomy and people who work hard to bring fish, oil and wine to the table. Our olive groves, which we cultivate diligently, are spread over 7 hectares and contain 1900 trees with a wide range of varieties that give extra virgin olive oils. Special mention should be made of Cervar, intense golden yellow color and rich aromas, with herbal notes of artichoke, chicory, medicinal herbs...
