Our story

The backbone of our Cossetto Winery are three generations that together create top quality wine using modern technologies but with enormous respect towards tradition. Viticulture and winemaking has always been an integral part of life in Istria, and our family, in which we have two experienced oenologists, is the true heir of this tradition. Our vineyards are located in excellent positions at an altitude of 200 meters, with mostly indigenous Istrian varieties from which we produce wine for people who love it and above all - understand it. Our focus is on Istrian Malvasia, Teran and Borgonja, but also on international varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Muskat White. We first planted Malvasia vineyard back in 1997, in 2007 we built a wine cellar and the first prize arrived in 2013 - a gold medal for Chardonnay, Malvasia and Mozaik cuvée. Our unique location

In our municipality there are more than 150 holiday villas with pool for rent and plenty of bicycle and hiking trails. It means that the micro location is perfect for all those who want to spend an active vacation in a small town away from traffic and crowds. When you have had enough of swimming and sunbathing, Kaštelir offers you tours including wine, olive oil and craft beer, purchase of fresh vegetables grown according to organic principles, homemade bread, pasta and desserts.
