Our story
Our Jelenić Prosciutto is a family prosciutto factory founded in 1999. We are one of the first registered producers of Istrian prosciutto, which is an autochthonous product and brand of Istria. Our location and microclimatic conditions allow us to produce high quality Istrian prosciutto in the traditional way adopted since ancient times - using sea salt and pepper without preservatives, as well as garlic and laurel leaves. Also, they are dried for at least 12 months - without smoke. All this results in a special taste and a top product that has been awarded more than 20 times. In addition to prosciutto, we produce Istrian sausage, Istrian dried pork loin - Ombolo, Istrian pork neck - Buđola, sausage spread, Istrian salami - Kosnica and Istrian pancetta.
Our unique location
We are located in small Istrian town of Sv. Petar u Šumi, at its highest part, where the wind of bora and the mild Mediterranean climate intertwine. Such a relationship creates perfect conditions for the production of prosciuttos, which we are very proud of - both because of their quality, and because of the fact that with them you get the tradition of Istria and our family served directly to your table. By doing so, you share moments of authenticity with us.
