Our story

Solana Nin (Nin Saltworks) has been a significant force in the area of Zadar and beyond for centuries. Both in economic and cultural sense. It covers an area of 55 ha in the lagoon of the royal city of Nin and dates back to ancient Roman times. As the only saltworks on the Adriatic coast with an ECO certification, they offer wide range of services connected with salt (which is still harvested in a traditional and natural way): Educational salt tour, visit to the House of salt museum, Saltworker experience, team buildings and bird watching! Besides, large assortment of salt - based products - from flower salt to chocolate, cosmetics and stone/wooden souvenirs can be bought there.

Its flavour is also special due to biological variety of plant and animal - more than 200 bird species, algae, small fish, crabs, plants, curative mud...
