Our story

Paška Sirana is one of the oldest and most renowned cheese producers on the island of Pag, Croatia. Established in 1946, this dairy is famous for its award-winning Paški sir, a hard sheep's milk cheese known for its rich, complex flavor. The unique taste comes from the island’s rugged terrain, where sheep graze on aromatic herbs covered in sea salt carried by the strong Bora wind. With a long tradition of craftsmanship and innovation, Paška Sirana continues to produce top-quality cheeses, cherished by food lovers worldwide.

Our unique location

The island of Pag, shaped by the strong Bura wind, has a unique, rocky landscape where sea salt covers aromatic herbs like sage. Pag sheep graze on this salt-kissed vegetation, producing rich milk that gives Paški sir its distinct flavor. This rare mix of climate, flora, and tradition makes Pag a top cheese-producing region. The island’s rugged beauty and centuries-old dairy heritage ensure Paški sir remains one of Croatia’s most prized cheeses.
