Cheese production. Organized individual and / or group tours of the cheese factory. Tasting of Gligora Cheese and other foods (homemade oils, prosciutto, olives, etc.)

Our unique location

The cheese production tradition on Pag is considered to be 2800 years old and the first written trace of Pag cheese dates back to 1774. But why is it so good? Due to Bora, a cold & strong wind coming to Pag from the biggest Croatian mountain Velebit. It creates sea salt dust and spreads it across the island, contributing to only the most aromatic plants surviving. These then become the food for sheeps - making Pag cheese so great and truly authentic.
