Bike tour from Buje to Livade in Istria

About the experience

This route takes us along Parenzana, the old railway that connected Trieste with Poreč from 1902 to 1935. Numerous pedestrians, explorers and cyclists rank this route as one of the most beautiful in Istria. This 28km tour starts from Buje and after an 8 km drive on macadam we arrive in Grožnjan, a small Istrian town of great cultural heritage, and it's known as the "city of artists", followed by a short drive through the narrow and cobbled streets of Grožnjan. We continue our way with a beautiful view of the valley of the river Mirna. Through tunnels and bridges the road leads to Livade. Arriving in Livade, which is also known as the world center of white truffles, we go to a nearby Istrian tavern for lunch. After lunch we board the transfer.
