Bike tour of central Istria (Svetvinčenat - Bale)

O iskustvu

This 25 km tour starts at Svetvinčenat, small town in central Istria that is dominated by one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the country. Then we depart on macadam and woodland roads to the church of St. Peter, the first site on the itinerary. We continue our way to Bale, stopping at a scenic vantage point with views of Bale and the Rovinj seas. Bale, on Istria's western shore, is one of the most stunning Istrian treasures. This medieval stone village is five kilometers from the sea and the picturesque shoreline is perched on a hill surrounded by endless olive orchards and vineyards. We stop at Bale to explore the historic town before continuing along the coastline and visiting the old Austro-Hungarian strongholds, where the route ends and boarding for the transfer back begins.
