Vinkovci Guided Tour: History in Hand, Gin in Glass

Discover Vinkovci, one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, on a 4-hour experience combining history, local culture, a guided city walk and the flavours of Slavonia. Begin with a visit to the Vinkovci City Museum and discover the remarkable archaeological heritage of a city with around 8,000 years of continuous settlement. Then visit Abelo Distillery, where you can learn about the craft of gin making and enjoy a tasting of their locally produced gin. The experience continues with a relaxed guided walk through the historic heart of Vinkovci. Discover the city park, the Church of Saints Eusebius and Polion, the lively main promenade and the famous Orion motif, connected to one of the oldest known calendars in Europe. We continue along the Bosut River and visit the birthplace of renowned Slavonian writer Ivan Kozarac before finishing our walk near the Church of St. Elias. This small-group experience combines history, heritage, local stories and craft spirits, offering an authentic introduction to Vinkovci beyond the usual tourist route. The experience is available for groups of 6–14 guests and is led by a licensed local tourist guide.
