We start the tour in Rovanjska, a charming coastal town, right on the beach at 0 m above sea level. This is followed by an ascent along the Velebit trails to 1,110 meters above sea level, where you can experience all the mountain flora and fauna. Part of the route we are going on is the Majstorska cesta (Master’s Road), the historical Velebit road included in the list of cultural assets of the Republic of Croatia. The construction of this road across Velebit began in 1825 and was completed in 1832. The road passes by the significant geomorphological site of Tulova greda - a distinct group of vertical limestone blocks, peaks and towers. Next on our way is the karst river Zrmanja, which has cut one of the most impressive gorges in the whole of Croatia into the rough rock. Karl May's "Winnetou" was also filmed in this wild romantic setting around an emerald green river. We offer two different tours, a half-day tour with a path of approx. 65 km that includes a ticket to an abandoned bauxite mine and a presentation and tasting of all the most famous delicacies from the Dalmatian area, and a three-hour tour with a carefully selected adrenaline trail of approx. 45 km that includes a quick meal (burger selection) at Food&Bar Malaga.
