About the experience

In Rovinj, there are many small family farms run by passionate people who produce amazing olive oil, pickled olives, goat cheese, vinegar, raise donkeys, grow the best tomatoes in Istria, but also produce rebellious, unusual, and curious wines. Lunch will be served in an off-the-beaten-path family konoba that serves traditional Istrian cuisine. A visit to a biodynamically managed vineyard and winery may be included in the wine tour.

What exactly is included

visit of two to three wineries* (depending on number of wines we try in each winery)
tasting fees in each winery
tasting of at least 15 wines in total
one-course lunch in a traditional Istrian tavern
we can organize pick-up/drop-off anywhere in Istria county (it is also possible to organize transfer from Rijeka or Opatija for additional fee of 60 EUR for 2-5 persons)
you'll learn about the history and the styles of winemaking in Istria, the indigenous grape varieties, soils and microclimates and basics of pairing with signature Istrian dishes.

Location or meeting point

If you think you might have trouble finding the exact location, do not worry. Upon booking confirmation we will deliver exact coordinates to your email address. In your voucher you will receive instructions on how to reach the location correctly, as well (if provided by the host). Some agencies will let you pick among several pick-up locations or pick you at the specific location of your own choice (e.g. your apartment). This is why they have your phone number and you have theirs - so you can easily arrange this over the phone.
